The American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (AmCham-Jordan) is a Membership driven organization; its success is determined by the value derived from and offered to its Membership base.

AmCham-Jordan has been successful in growing its membership base substantially due to the high level of interest form the business community in the strong Jordan-U.S. economic relations and trade and investment opportunities.

	AmCham-Jordan’s Membership Growth (1999-2004)

AmCham-Jordan’s Members represent diverse segments of the economy, including service-oriented firms, industry, trade and investment. Engineering and construction also represents a growing proportion of AmCham-Jordan’s Membership.

AmCham-Jordan is responsive to its members needs by providing a world class and focused business services;

• AmCham-Jordan’s InfoCenter:
  Members hve access to AmCham-Jordan’s Information Center (InfoCenter), which provides fast and accurate information
• Market Entry and Investment Assistance Center:
  Members can use the Center to develop and implement linkages and matchmaking functions, to get assistance in setting up investment and project ventures in Jordan, and assistance in addressing public and trade policy issues and dealing with laws and regulations affecting trade and investment between Jordan and the United States.
• Training and Career Development Center:
  Members can utilize the Center as a career development hub through the business managements and corporate capacity building training programs, and export education and capacity building programs, and accredited certification courses in international trade or in export disciplines.
• Projects, Committees and Events at AmCham – Jordan:
  Members at AmCham-Jordan have first hand access to the professional and trade-related activities carried out at the chamber, which carry out Sector / Industry support activities, organized trade discussions, and include activities and events that highlight economic development and business linkages.
• Partnerships and Alliances:
  Members will be associated with and gain all the benefits of AmCham’s strategic alliances and partnerships that aim at promoting trade and investment relations.

• GENERAL MEMBERS:

Membership in this category is open to:

• American companies with branches, agents, or representative offices in Jordan.
• Jordanian companies with American equity.
• Jordanian companies or individuals who have significant business relationship with the US, and registered Jordanian agents of American companies.
• US citizens who are residing in Jordan & have significant business or professional relationships with the US.

Membership Types under this Category:

• Platinum General Member: Companies with over 100 employees
• Corporate General Member: Companies with less than 100 employees
• Individual General Member: Individuals


• ASSOCIATE RESIDENT MEMBERS:

Membership in this category shall be open to:

• Jordanian companies who are not presently doing business with the US and wish to do so.
• Multinational companies having branches in at least three other countries besides Jordan & the US.
• Individuals whose status and membership would enhance the AmCham-Jordan’s image and effectiveness.
• US based companies

Membership Types under this Category:

• Platinum Associate Resident Member: Companies with over 100 employees
• Corporate Associate Resident Member: Companies with less than 100 employees
• Individual Associate Resident Member: Individuals

 

• NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS:

Membership in this category shall be open to organizations which have significant relationships with Jordan and the US and which are organized for charitable, educational or eleemosynary purposes and not for profit.

• AFFILIATE MEMBERS:

Membership in this category is open to individual staff members of companies, which are already members of the Chamber

• A check in the amount required in Jordanian Dinars payable to: The Jordanian American Business Association
• The resume of the principal member and a copy of a personal ID
• Your company profile, explaining all your products and services, and any other literature on your company that you think is appropriate
• A copy of your company's official registration in Jordan or the US.

Note: The application may be deemed invalid if the above attachments are not provided. All new applications are submitted for approval to the Board of Directors at their regular monthly meeting.
